How We Verify Trainers
Every trainer profile on YogaSetu is reviewed by a person before it becomes visible to the public.
What we check
- Yoga certificates — e.g. Yoga Certification Board (YCB, Ministry of AYUSH), Yoga Alliance RYT-200/500, or university and institute diplomas. Trainers upload them at sign-up.
- Government ID — the name on the ID must match the certificate and the profile.
- Profile accuracy — styles, experience and fees must be consistent with the documents.
After approval
- New documents a trainer uploads are reviewed again.
- Reviews can only be left by students who joined through a YogaSetu enquiry, and are moderated only for abuse — not for being negative.
- Trainers who mislead students or misuse student details are suspended.
What verification does not mean
The "Certificates checked" badge means we have seen valid documents. It is not a guarantee of teaching quality or of results. Always take a trial class, and tell your trainer about any health condition.
